Drew University has teamed up with the Morristown Area League of Women Voters to offer an in-depth analysis of the issues that are defining the 2012 U.S. presidential race. Admission is free, as political science faculty and student-representatives of the Democratic and Republican parties will address the issues in the presidential race and offer a comprehensive breakdown of their potential impact on the nation.

The “Presidential Issues Forum” will begin with an overview of the election’s most important issues, delivered by Patrick McGuinn and Phil Mundo, members of the faculty in Drew’s Political Science Department, a sponsor of the event.The event will continue with presentations by student representatives of the Drew University chapters of the College Democrats and the College Republicans, who will offer remarks about Democratic incumbent Barack Obama and Republican challenger Mitt Romney.

Attendees will then have the opportunity to ask questions in an open session moderated by the Morristown Area League of Women Voters. Voter registration materials and absentee ballot applications also will also be available. Voter registration will begin 30 minutes earlier, at 7 p.m.
