Democratic candidates are Alan D. Benyak, Donn R. Henderson, Randy J. Barli, Anthony Garay, Robert Kepics and Mark Alterici, The Republican candidates are Donald (Bud) Cook and Melanie S. Patterson. Although all accepted the LWV’s initial invitation to participate, Melanie Patterson has since said that she will not be available on this date. This is an open race with no incumbent as current representative Pete Daley is retiring.
