A candidate forum for the 1st U.S. Congressional District seat will be held on Monday, October 10, 2016 at 7:00 pm at the Lars Hockstad Auditorium, 301 W. 7th St. in Traverse City. The event is open to the public. Doors will open at 6:15 pm for a meet and greet with the candidates. The event is sponsored by the League of Women Voters of the Grand Traverse Area, the League of Women Voters Leelanau County, the International Affairs Forum, Interlochen Public Radio, and UpNorthTV. Republican Party candidate Jack Bergman. Green Party candidate Ellis Boal, Libertarian Party candidate Diane Bostow and Democratic Party candidate Lon Johnson have all been invited to participate.
